I have learned very basic skills of computer, almost about windows, in computer classes. However, because of learning with our teacher, I could also learn about Macs. In fact, I bought a new laptop, Macbook, and I have used since the middle of this term.
So first, if I can learn about computer more, I would like to know about Mac more!! It is because even though many operations between PC and Mac are similar, there are also very different ones, for example, the function keys.
Second, what we have learned is about the introduction of Microsoft office. Of course, there are a lot of software and programs that are interesting and useful. However, I may not be able to use them perfectly with only knowledge that I have now. Therefore, I want to learn the basic knowledge to use many programs.

Computer Gifts I Would for Friends & Family
When I give a gift for my friends of my family, I think to present “iPod” is one of the best choices. There are some reasons I choose “iPod”.
First, there are a various choices when I choose iPod. For example, I can choose iPod, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle. In addition, each iPod has several colors; iPod has black and white color, iPod nano has six colors, and iPod shuffle has five colors. Actually, the colors of iPod nano are limited due to their capacities; for instance, iPod nano whose capacity is 2GB has only silver color. However, there are still a variety of choices. Also their varieties of capacities are attractive.
Moreover, if I order it in the Apple Store in the Internet, I can engrave any words I want to write onto the iPod for free!!
So how about giving iPod for your friends or family as a present?

Net Neutrality
“Net Neutrality” is the idea that network should be indifferent for any user or application or the contention about the unequal uses of network and pay for facility. Today, it is a big controversial topic in the United States, Korea, and Japan.
The argument began when companies which supplied the Internet services, for example, Google and Yahoo, started action to establish the neutrality of network in the United State in 2005. It is because, for instance, some companies that furnish various services in the Internet can be discriminated by providers, and if when providers furnish their animation services, they precede theirs, other companies that furnish similar services will be damaged.
However, there is an opposite opinion. It is that if companies furnishing services gain with the Internet infrastructure, they should pay suitable money.
In Japan, the Ministry of Public Management started to discuss the topic in October 2006 and held the first meeting about net neutrality on November 15th 2006.

Social Engineering
Social engineering is to catch people off logical guard and get secret information. It is also called “social work.” As a computer term, social engineering means to get a password of a computer and then to invade the computer unfairly without mischief to the computer.
There are some ways to get such information: to watch a screen of input of the password when a person keys it, to watch a piece of paper a password is written and to note it, or to guess passwords from the records with unfair software which memorizes the input of the keyboards.
Nowadays social engineering is used not only for passwords but for the numbers of credit cards or fraud. For example, a fraud pretends to be a police officer and asks a person his numbers of credit card to identify whether the card which is stolen is him or not. Another example is that a fraud pretends to be a family member and to force to pay the money into his account.
Therefore, to pay attention such fraud and to keep the secret of credit cards are important to duck it.

What I Know about Apple Computers (Macintosh)!!
Macs (Macintoshes) were the first computers which used GUI (Graphic User Interface) and made by Apple Computer Inc. in 1984. Through Macs and Apple Computer Inc., people became to use computer easily. It’s because before the Macs were sold, people had to memorize computer words and type them to use past computers; however, when people used the Macs with GUI and a mice, icons appeared on the scene, and if an user clicked them, the user could use the programs.
Although Macs were the first computers with GUI, today about or less than five percent of people use Macs due to distribution of Windows. On the other hand, there are advantages to use the Mac. First, Macs are more stylish and easy to use, especially for graphics and making movies. Second, because the share is only several percentages, there are few viruses. Third, the supports for Macs are better. In addition, recently, Mactel computers are produced. Before 2006, Macs used IBM CPUs ad their platforms, but they changed to Intel which has been used in Windows. As a result, nowadays we can run Windows in Macs.

What I wanna learn about Computers!!
Today we learn about computers. I have already learned about Microsoft Windows and Power Point in the classes.
But... I'm not good at using computers; therefore, I still have to learn many things.
First, I want to be able to use Microsoft Office. Like this week Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 are going to be launched, many new things have launched today, so we have to follow he changes. As a first step and for the college life, I will be able to use Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Second, I aim to be able to use a lot of new software with instruction books even though I haven’t used them. I think there are lots of interesting and useful software, and to use them will be needed for the future; as a result, I must understand the basic use of computers.
Finally, if there is chance, I ‘d like to learn about the basic use of Mac. Our teacher uses Mac, and it also looks like interesting.
